Northwest Auto was established in the spring of 1971 by Don Fiala. The original structure covered 2,000 square feet and had four bays. In 1972 a fifth bay was added with a half pit for doing front-end work. Don purchased what was then state of the art front end equipment, a Hunter Lite-A-Liner.

In 1975 Don decided it was time to go fishing. Literally. He sold the shop to Skip Deedon, purchased a large fishing boat and went into the charter fishing business.

Skip has owned and operated the shop since December 1975. In 1981 two large truck bays were added, and in 1990 the original "fifth bay" was torn down to make room for four new bays. The shop now occupies 6,000 square feet, has a total of nine bays, a large modern office, a comfortable waiting area for customers and a separate coffee area for the employees.

All customer records are kept in a computer data base for easy retrieval and tracking of previous work performed and future maintenance needed.

Transportation to and from work is provided to our customers free of charge. For customers with scheduling problems, we are able to offer an Enterprise-Rent-a-Car for just $10 a day. Enterprise brings the car right to the shop,and when you are finished with it you can just leave it in our parking lot.

At Northwest Automotive we pride ourselves on being a leader in automotive technology. The shop is equipped with the latest equipment, and all of our technicians have attended the best schools and seminars to keep abreast of the constantly changing technology.

In addition to the equipment in the shop, Northwest Automotive also subscribes to the latest in information technology. This gives our technicians the most current information, including factory service bulletins, wiring diagrams, and the most in repair procedures.

Northwest Automotive is one of the few shops that still offers "full service." Services range from lube, oil and filter work at $29.95 to diagnosing computer-controlled fuel injection systems. We also specialize in emission control systems. We back our work with a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty on parts and labor. As a certified NAPA AUTO CARE CENTER, we can offer a nationwide, "Peace of Mind" warranty.
